1100 Architect

In 1983 David Piscuskas and Juergen Riehm rented a one-room office in New York’s SoHo, inscribing “Architect” next to the “1100” written on the door. The simple gesture reflected their intent to work as collaborators as well as artists, innovators, adapters and entrepreneurs. They strive for architecture of clarity, quality and excellence that is functionally responsive, progressively humanistic and enduringly relevant. Transparency, as a practice and a vision, is an essential property of their work. The brilliance of this vision is evident in the firm’s growth, with 60 professionals now working in offices in New York and Frankfurt.
